Hi my name is Amanda. I've been a student at Kaplan University online for two years now. And in another two years, I will graduate with a B.S. in Criminal Justice.
The choice to go back to school was not an easy one for me. I was already an experienced graphic designer with a decent job, but I knew that this was not what I wanted to do for the rest of my life and an unexpected layoff was just what I needed.
Being a Mom, I decided that I didn't want to spend any more time away from my kids as I had to. So online education was going to be the best option for me. I researched online and requested information from several different schools, but once I got the call from Judith, my admissions advisor at Kaplan, I knew it was the school for me.
Kaplan gives you the ability to tailor your degree plan to your interests--and that was exactly what I was looking for. I have to admit, I thought that going to college online would be easy, but I was wrong. Every class that I have taken has been a challenge, but Kaplan gives you all the tools you need to succeed.
Even though my classes are challenging and do require time and dedication, the flexibility of Kaplan's online program still allows me to be a dedicated mom and employee. I'm looking forward to graduation and entering my new field with a quality education.
