Hi, my name is Dewoun Hayes and I consider myself the poster child for online learning. For me, online learning is most convenient because as a mother, full-time employee, and student, my life can be very hectic. I happen to work in higher education and mentor students. I appreciate being able to motivate, mentor, and inspire so many adults.
I have received an Associate's Degree in Business and a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology all online. I am currently working on my Masters Degree in Adult Education and Training online as well.
When I was searching for an institution, I was looking for credibility, programs offered, and the time frame in which the program can be completed. As a learner for over 16 years, I wanted to acquire self-actualization and achieve the goal of a degree. That dream came true in 2007, thanks to the University of Phoenix.
Online learning teaches responsibility, discipline, team-building, writing, and study skills, which allow you to succeed in your personal and professional life. I have received several awards and accolades as a result of my online experiences; therefore, I have been able to pass along those experiences to others and see those students I have come in contact with graduate and continue on the path to their goals.
